Carpet weaving has become one of the few sustainable income sources for women in Afghanistan. These beautiful rugs are woven by women who have been displaced within the country due to the impacts of climate change. This income serves two vital purposes: providing financial stability for the weavers and enabling them to explore livelihoods beyond agriculture.

The Weavers’ Story
Each Carpet is a masterpiece, meticulously crafted by hand. Men handle tasks such as spinning and dyeing the wool, as well as washing the finished rugs, while the weaving is done by women from Faryab province in Afghanistan, often within their own homes. This partnership allows Azizi Art to contribute their designs, empowering the women and showcasing their craftsmanship to a global audience.
